Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Bringing Streamlined Progression To PS5 And PC

Square Enix’s remake of their classic JRPG Final Fantasy VII is coming to Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 next week on January 22, and it comes with an impressive extra feature that’s unavailable on the current PlayStation 5 and PC versions of the game. This is the ‘Streamlined Progression’ system, which allows players to change certain combat modifiers to make the game incredibly easy to play and focus on the narrative.

Thankfully though, official social media channels just revealed that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be receiving an update on PS5 and PC on the same day as the multi-platform release to add the feature to existing versions of the game too! This feature parity update will ensure that all current-gen versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake have the same options for players, and it’s a wonderful suite of options to have for those of us interested in playing through the game again.

Those long and difficult fights will be a lot easier with never-ending MP.

Whilst the streamlined progression features make for great accessibility tools for those looking to make the game more manageable, they’re also very promising for fans who are planning on replaying the game sometime before the release of the third and final part in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. There’s a vast and complex story playing out across the two existing parts of the trilogy so far, and it’ll be easier to catch up with the story when you can shred through a boss with infinite HP and MP whilst constantly dealing maximum damage!

Will you be checking out the streamlined progression options in next Thursday’s Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade update? Let us know in the comments or on social media, and keep your eyes on GameObserver for more gaming news and Final Fantasy coverage.
