Crimson Desert is a huge game, and console players, especially those on PlayStation 5, have a long list of trophies to unlock on their journey to the Platinum trophy. While the main story can take around 55 to 80 hours to complete, earning the Platinum can push total playtime to more than 300 hours, mainly because of the many time-consuming challenges.
The game takes so long to complete not just because of its lengthy, multiple-dozen-hour story, but because of the sheer amount of content available in its giant world. A major selling point before launch was just how vast Crimson Desert would be, and the developers clearly delivered. Therefore, earning every trophy in such a short time is difficult because players need to heavily focus on exploration, which is extremely time-consuming, yet someone has still managed to do it.

As estimated by TheGamer, perhaps somewhat exaggerated, “players would need to dedicate 25 hours a day, every day of the game’s 12 days since release,” to earn the Platinum trophy. Still, there are trophy hunters who never give up, and some players have already managed to unlock it. On PlayStation’s own page, it already shows that 0.1% of users have earned the Platinum trophy, with the challenge further reflected in the trophy stats, where only three out of the game’s 35 trophies (1 Platinum, 4 Gold, 10 Silver, 20 Bronze) currently sit above a 0.1% completion rate.
The challenge is so demanding that players have even started forum threads to help each other through the process. If you are currently working toward the Platinum trophy in Crimson Desert, it may be encouraging to know that it is not impossible, as some players have already managed to unlock it.
In other news, Pearl Abyss has confirmed that AI-generated art assets were “unintentionally” included in the final version of the game and promised to replace them in upcoming patches.
