Mundo Gamer Showcase 2025 – Our 10 Most Anticipated Titles

The Mundo Gamer Network’s Mundo Gamer Showcase 2025 gave us an insight to some exciting indie games due to release in the future from Brazil and around the world. We’ve compiled a list of the 10 featured indie games that we’re most excited about, so read on and get your wish lists ready.

1. Rabbit’s Tale

In Rabbit’s Tale, we play as Rabbit who is searching for his missing family.

Developed and published by Golden Bug Studios, Rabbit’s Tale is a Metroidvania roguelike where you, you guessed it, play as a rabbit called Rabbit. When the Steam Order attack his village, Rabbit’s family are kidnapped and he’s now on a journey to find them. Rabbit’s Tale promises challenging combat and platforming, mixed with roguelike elements. For anyone looking for that Metroidvania hit after Hollow Knight: Silksong, this might be one to look out for.

Rabbit’s Tale is due to release in 2026.

2. Cursed Blood

In Cursed Blood, players take on the role of Samurai Apes out for vengeance.

Continuing the theme of roguelikes is co-op melee roguelike, Cursed Blood. Developed and published by David Marquardt Studios, Cursed Blood can be played solo, or with up to four players. Players take on the role as Samurai Apes in a world referred to by the developer as ‘bloodpunk’. After the apes’ shrine is desecrated by the mafia, they are now on a revenge mission to pay back the destruction of the shrine in blood.

Players will fight through waves of enemies and bosses in procedurally generated levels, using a variety of combat moves and even being able to test their skills in World Mutation runs to earn new katanas and powers. Cursed Blood is also one of the few multiplayer games still offering couch co-op, which is greatly appreciated.

Cursed Blood is due to release in 2026.

3. Haunted Bloodlines

In Haunted Bloodlines, we explore a mansion filled with restless spirits.

Haunted Bloodlines is a psychological survival horror game developed by Horrified Triangles and published by Iphigames and Serafini Productions. Set in the 1990s, Haunted Bloodlines takes players through a haunted mansion, which acts as a living and breathing entity with shifting corridors and a history of secrets and tragedy to uncover, which keeps the spirits prowling the mansion restless. In terms of gameplay, Haunted Bloodlines leaves the player defenceless, with enemy encounters needing to be avoided by hiding or running away.

4. Hollow Mire

Hollow Mire is a hand-painted narrative adventure set in post-war England.

Hollow Mire, developed and pulished by Mowlo Games, is a narrative, choice-driven game where we play as two characters whose stories become entwined. John is a war hero who returns home to find his wife and child are missing. The years go by, and John becomes an investigative journalist in hopes that his work will one day lead him to them. His latest assignment is at Breken House, which might be the answer to the mystery. Meanwhile, detective Gwen Porter is investigating a missing patient from a psychiatric hospital, which soon leads her to John.

Hollow Mire offers full voice acting, hand-painted environments, and multiple choices that can result in one of eight different endings. Its story will cover a bleak period in England’s history, including D-Day through John’s memories and the country’s recovery period after the war.

There’s currently a playable demo available for Hollow Mire.

5. Inferius

Inferius challenges us to defeat the nine rulers of hell.

Inferius, developed and published by Lucid Rain Studios, is a hellish roguelike deckbuilder where players use the Major Arcana Tarot Cards to challenge each ruler of the nine levels of hell: Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud, and Treachery. For those who enjoyed horror-themed deckbuilder, Inscryption, this Lovecraftian horror deckbuilder with a mix of first-person stealth might be for you.

Players need to strategize and enhance their cards before each battle, using sigils and brands to apply various effects to their cards and trade in their sanity for skill trait upgrades in the underworld’s blackmarket. In between card battles, players will need to traverse the various levels, using a lantern to manipulate the different environments while avoiding enemies and madness.

6. The Bunker Notes

The Bunker Notes is a psychological horror visual novel developed and published by Synthetic Domain. It’s an adaptation of a short story of the same name by film director, Kim Sung Chan. We play as someone who locked himself away in a bunker during a pandemic. While in the bunker, loneliness starts to catch up with him as he hears noises beyond the bunker door. The Bunker Notes promises an emotional plot and multiple endings based on player choices.

The Bunker Notes is due to release in 2026.

7. Galactic Vault

Galactic Vault is a fast-paced and futuristic FPS.

Developed and published by MeepMeep Games, Galactic Vault offers Doom-style fast-paced FPS action. In a dystopian future, players take the role of a former Vault Operations & Lost Tech (VOLT) operative who breaks into and steals from the tech vaults of corporations hoarding the world’s technology.

Players can unlock and customize their weapons as the game goes on, picking up new attachments and upgrades as well as abilities. Strategic weapon-building is awarded with satisfying combos, with the game promising a strong variety of enemy types and challenging bosses to put your skills to good use.

There’s currently a playable demo available for Galactic Vault.

8. SacriFire

SacriFire is set in a beautiful sci-fi fantasy world.

SacriFire, developed and published by Pixelated Milk, is a love letter to classic JRPGs. Players take on the role of Ezekiel Ridan, a priest in a sci-fi fantasy world which is threatened by warring gods and demons. Ezekiel will travel the world, solving puzzles and defeating enemies in dungeons in real-time and turn-based combat alongside companions. Players can adapt their playstyle with combos, a choice of combat disciplines, and different weapons. The game uses a mixture of hand-drawn 2D pixel art and 3D environments, full voice acting, and music by G4F and iconic composer Motoi Sakuraba (Dark Souls).

SacriFire is due to release in the first quater of 2026, with an open playtest coming in January.

9. The Perfect Pencil

In The Perfect Pencil, we wake up in a surreal world and our head is replaced with a camera.

Another Metroidvania because we love those! The Perfect Pencil is developed by Studio Cima and published by Studio Cima and Doyoyo Games, following John who wakes up in a surreal world. His head is replaced with a camera, giving him the ability to see things that others can’t, including information about NPCs, objects, and environmental elements. This action-platformer offers various choices in terms of the routes you take, side quests from a colourful cast of characters, and lore and secrets to uncover.

The Perfect Pencil is due to release January 29th, 2026.

10. Seina: A Tale of Spirits

Mika will meet many gentle spirits while searching for her missing cat.

For those looking for something a bit more cozy, Seina: A Tale of Spirits may be more befitting to you. Developed by Argyro Brotsi and published by Pofupofu Studios, Seina is a gorgeous fantasy adventure game inspired by Japanese aesthetics, nature and folklore. Mika is looking for her missing cat, Seina, and uncovers a secret world in the process. This magical realm is filled with spirits who may be able to help with Mika’s search. While all the spirits are gentle and friendly, some may need more convicing in order to help Mika in her quest. She’ll visit ancient ruins, forests and lakes to find her beloved cat, solving environmental puzzles and taking on side quests from spirits in the process.
