Hollow Mire Shows New Trailer At Mundo Gamer Showcase

The Mundo Gamer Showcase took place yesterday, and featured exclusive reveals and trailers from plenty of games. One of these games was Hollow Mire, a story-rich narrative game created by UK-based developer and publisher Mowlo Games. Set following the ending of the Second World War, Hollow Mire sees a man returning home to England following his experiences at war, and taking up the role of a journalist to follow leads, solve cases and resolve mysteries – in the hope that your missing wife and daughter will turn up somewhere along the way.

Hollow Mire is entirely choice based, with eight different possible endings according to the description provided on Steam, with characters fully voiced by “a professional cast” across an “interwoven narrative”. The developers put a lot of emphasis on the hand-crafted nature of the title, taking inspiration from the post-war era in which computers and cell phones were merely a future possibility rather than the present phenomenon we experience now. This can be seen in the new trailer from yesterday’s showcase, featuring beta gameplay footage of the protagonist taking steps to solve his case.

Hollow Mire puts you in the role of a post-war British journalist on the hunt for his missing wife and daughter.

There has been no confirmed release date yet for Hollow Mire, but the Steam page receives regular updates from the developers if you’re looking for more. A demo is also available to download right now from Steam if you’re itching to try Hollow Mire early, and if you enjoy what you experience then you could also wishlist the game to support the team.
