007 First Light Sells 4 Million Copies In Just Three Months | GameObserver

IO Interactive has officially announced that 007 First Light has passed four million copies sold worldwide in just three months. The James Bond game is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version also on the way.

The studio said, “The achievement of 4 million units sold in the first three months reflects overwhelming global enthusiasm for 007 First Light. The game’s exceptional critical and commercial performance across all platforms, with the launch on Nintendo Switch 2 to come later in 2026, demonstrates the franchise’s enduring appeal and the positive reception towards the studio’s ambitious vision to deliver a premium, original Bond experience worldwide.”

The next step for the studio will be bringing 007 First Light to Nintendo Switch 2. With 4 million copies already sold, a sequel also seems very likely. Previously, Amazon Games boss Jeffrey Gattis stated that a 007 First Light sequel “should be made,” and with the game reaching another major milestone, it may only be a matter of time before the studio actually considers it.

For now, IO Interactive is focused on the Year One roadmap, which will include New Game+, allowing players to replay the full campaign from the start after finishing the story while carrying over all previously unlocked gadgets and gear to change how they tackle missions. A Photo Mode is also coming, along with more tactical simulation challenges and plenty of other content. PC players can also expect improvements to path tracing as part of the planned updates.

It’s also worth noting that before launch, IO Interactive wanted 007 First Light to be the best Bond game ever. For more 007 First Light-related coverage, keep checking GameObserver.
