Remedy Entertainment has officially confirmed that Control Resonant has reached the Gold stage, meaning the main development of the game is completely finished and it is now ready for distribution. The digital release is still going ahead as planned. Control Resonant will launch digitally on September 24 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Deluxe Edition on PS5 will also exclusively include 48 hours of early access.
However, collectors and players who prefer having their games on disc will have to be a little more patient. The physical edition has suffered a small last-minute delay and will now arrive on October 15, around three weeks after the digital release.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Remedy said, “The physical release date for the game has moved to October 15th. We need just a little more time to deliver the physical version to you, but rest assured – nothing stays contained forever.” Remedy has not explained exactly why the physical edition was delayed. It may simply need more time to prepare and ship the disc copies. Another possible reason is to prevent physical copies from reaching players early and leaking story spoilers.
Control Resonant puts a strong focus on its story, so an early physical copy getting into someone’s hands could reveal important details before the official launch. Nonetheless, the good news is that the game itself is finished and the digital release has not been delayed. Players who buy it digitally can start playing on September 24 as planned, while those who want a physical copy will need to wait until October 15. In other news, Remedy believes GTA 6 could boost the entire gaming industry by driving console sales and bringing more players to games like Control Resonant.
