Capcom seems pretty happy with how Pragmata is doing, and it looks like the game could have a bigger future. After its strong launch, the game sold over one million copies in just two days, which understandably has caught the company’s attention.
Following this success, Capcom has teased that it wants to turn Pragmata into a long-term franchise. During the iicon conference in Las Vegas, Rob Dyer, COO of Capcom USA, talked about the game’s performance and what it means going forward. He said, “We’re to a point now where we’ve got another IP that Capcom—and god bless them, has an arsenal—that we can continue to go down.”

This suggests that a Pragmata sequel or other expansions are very possible, as Capcom now sees the game as part of its growing IP line-up, alongside other big franchises like Resident Evil.
Dyer also talked about the work behind the game. He praised the Japanese development team for working closely with Capcom USA during development, as they listened to feedback, ran focus tests, offer demos, and carried out surveys in Western markets to ensure the game appealed to a global audience. He said, “They took feedback, and after six years of development, it was worth the effort.”
If you still haven’t played Pragmata and are wondering if it’s worth buying, read our review where we gave it a score of 9 out of 10, saying “Pragmata delivers as much action and innovation as it does heart. While some elements may begin to feel a bit similar toward the end, the gameplay and character dynamic between Hugh and Diana are so powerful that will motive you to replay this journey multiple times.”
In other news, Capcom has reportedly earned nearly $400 million on Steam in 2026 so far, driven by strong sales from Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and other titles, with more releases still planned.
