Many of us around the world have been playing Capcom’s recent games like Resident Evil Requiem or Pragmata, and it’s clear the company is benefiting from their success. The numbers strongly back it up, as its 2026 releases have reportedly brought in almost $400 million on Steam alone.
According to Alinea Analytics, Capcom is thought to have generated about $389 million in gross revenue on Steam so far. After platform fees, the company is estimated to take home about $309 million in net revenue, and the year is still ongoing.

A large part of this success comes from Resident Evil Requiem, which is the main driver with around 45% of total Steam revenue, close to $174 million. The game has already passed 3 million copies sold since its launch on Steam alone. Meanwhile, Pragmata has generated nearly $30 million on Steam, allegedly outperforming its PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions combined. Monster Hunter Stories 3 has also contributed to this year’s total, adding to Capcom’s recent run of successful titles.
Older titles continue to play an important role as well, contributing around 29% of this year’s Steam revenue—roughly $113 million—from catalog games like previous Resident Evil titles, with strong seasonal discounts helping to drive these sales.
It’s also worth noting that Capcom still has Onimusha: Way of the Sword set for release later this year, and the company doesn’t appear to be slowing down, having recently hinted at more in a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “We’re not done with 2026 yet,” which suggests the company still has more announcements or releases planned for later this year.
In other news, players using the newly added photo mode in Resident Evil Requiem have discovered hidden Easter eggs strongly hinting at a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake. For More Capcom related coverage, keep checking GameObserver.
