Pragmata Celebrates Father’s Day With A New Update

Pragmata has been one of Capcom’s biggest games this year and one of the best-received by critics. The game brings innovation to the action genre while blending it with puzzle elements and an emotional story. That story follows Hugh and Diana as they go through a perilous journey in a lunar base, during which they develop a father-daughter bond. But Capcom hasn’t forgotten about another popular feature in games: character outfits.

Before its full release, Pragmata received a demo version in which players could change Hugh’s outfit to the Scribble Suit. However, some players (myself included) were disappointed to see that the Scribble Suit wasn’t available in the full game… until now. To celebrate Father’s Day, Capcom has announced a new update for today, which adds the Scribble Suit for free to all players. The suit is decorated with Diana’s doodles, which have strong ties to the game’s story and themes.

Capcom also announced that this update will reduce the difficulty of Training Simulation #30, Stand or Die. In addition, several minor text corrections have been made. Lastly, to celebrate both the update and Father’s Day, a full-length music video for Pragmata’s main theme, “Memories Are You,” has been released on YouTube.

Shortly after its initial launch, Capcom announced that Pragmata had sold two million copies. Beyond its emotional story, the game motivated many players (including some of our staff) to reflect on modern issues and themes, such as artificial intelligence.
