It looks like No Rest for the Wicked fans will have to wait a little longer for the full game. Moon Studios has officially delayed version 1.0 of its action RPG until March 2027, giving the team several more months to improve the game before its final release.
No Rest for the Wicked was expected to leave early access in October. Moon Studios had been working on the final version of the game, with plans to bring it to consoles alongside its full PC release. However, creative director Thomas Mahler has now explained that the team simply needs more time.

“The truth is, we shipped No Rest for the Wicked Together earlier this year, and since then, we’ve been on this mad dash to add more content, bring all the 1.0 stuff in, add the class system, and so on. The truth is simply that, we’re not quite there yet. We haven’t talked about PTR yet simply because we weren’t ready, but we will be very soon,” Mahler said.
The official reasons for the delay are focused on development. Moon Studios wants additional time to improve the game’s overall performance, work more on the class system, improve gameplay and give the final version the polish it needs. At the same time, there is some good news for players who do not want to wait until March. More testing is planned over the coming months, with an open beta already confirmed for PC in December. It will be the final major test before version 1.0 arrives.
The delay also moves No Rest for the Wicked away from the very busy launch window at the end of the year, caused by the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. While Mahler did not mention GTA VI by name, Rockstar’s highly anticipated game is expected to take much of the industry’s attention when it launches, which is why several games have move their release dates to various months before and after the game.
