Nintendo Music Gets Major Update With PC, Tablet And CarPlay Support

Since it launched in 2024, Nintendo Music has been slowly receiving small updates adding new soundtracks and occasional new features. Now though, Nintendo has dropped one of the biggest updates to their dedicated music streaming service since it began, and here’s everything new you can do with Nintendo Music from today.

Nintendo has expanded the Nintendo Music service onto computers through a streaming website that all Nintendo Online subscribers can access after logging in. The web player gives listeners a hugely expanded screen to browse more songs at the same time, and can be used from any web browser of your choice while you work, study, game or just chill out!

Work, study or play with your own Nintendo Music background soundtrack.

Next, there’s the new tablet version of Nintendo Music, which again gives you a bigger canvas than mobile to browse Nintendo’s greatest hits and curate playlists. This gives the benefits of the website version, whilst being its own dedicated app that you can leave playing in the background whilst doing other tasks on your tablet.

For those who like to listen on the go, Nintendo’s final new feature is support for Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto, which puts Nintendo Music in your car! With voice controls, you can ask for a certain track or vibe you’re looking for on long drives. Just maybe avoid Mario Kart tracks whilst driving, or you might end up in an unexpected race with your fellow commuters.

Who needs radio? Nintendo Music now supports CarPlay and Android Auto.

Speaking of Mario Kart, the soundtrack to Mario Kart World was added to Nintendo Music to celebrate its new features update. So far, 130 tracks are available from the huge racing game that kicked off the Switch 2 generation, but more Free Roam tracks will be added “regularly” as other games join the service too.

That’s all the updates we have on Nintendo Music for now! Be sure to check back often for all the latest, including more Nintendo coverage and other breaking gaming news.
