Most of us can remember a moment when we found a new hobby or interest that then shaped our lives, which is what Fat Alien Cat and Nomo Studio’s cozy decorating game, Momento, is about. During the Wholesome Direct 2026, it was announced that Momento is now available on Steam, including Steam Deck.
Momento offers unpacking sim fans satisfying decorating and tidying gameplay within various rooms across a lifetime with a twist; they will also be given the choice of what momentos to keep while tidying each room. Starting with the simple choice of a stuffed animal, each decision impacts the lives of the character whose rooms we are tidying up, affecting their hobbies, living situations, and even their careers.
There are 17 different rooms across different life paths for players to decorate, resulting in up to six different endings depending on our choices. And for players who want a blank canvas for their wildest decorating dreams, Momento also has a creative mode.
Similar to another cozy decorating game, Unpacking, Momento will also have an emotional story despite showing no characters or dialogue – telling its tale entirely through the objects that you will be uncovering in each room.
Console players also won’t be missing out for long, as along with the shadowdrop announcement, it was also revealed that Momento will be coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X on June 30, 2026. For other news from this year’s Wholesome Direct, click here!
