The Seven are back in a big way with the most recent Chapter of Fortnite. The superhero group that fight to defend the universe and break the Fortnite time loop just showed signs of their return to the island, and now it’s official with the reveal of a fully voiced comeback of The Visitor. As announced on his social media, the role will be performed by none other than Ben Starr, notable in the gaming industry for his breakthrough performance as Clive in Final Fantasy XVI and Verso in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
The Visitor is a particularly important character within the Fortnite lore, as he serves as the key planning figure behind The Seven’s adventures across the Fortnite multiverse. He was also the first member we ever met of the group, making his debut all the way back in 2018’s Season 4 where he became the season’s main protagonist after he emerged from the meteor impact. Before now, The Visitor has been largely voiceless and silent, being a highlight in the lore mainly from his influence on The Seven rather than his own personality. With an actor like Starr now taking on the role, it seems The Visitor is about to become a lot more present in the narrative.
For those unfamiliar, The Seven are a group sworn to defend the Zero Point, which is the heart of all realities in the Fortnite universe. They also want to destroy the Loop, which refers to the time loop that causes the endless replayed matches of Fortnite. Yes, they’re all canonical! The recent invasion of the Dark Voyager led Jonesy to call out to The Seven for help, years since they last appeared in game. With the arrival of Starr and The Visitor, it appears they’ve responded to our calls for help.
