Warframe: The Shadowgrapher Update Guide

It’s been a busy month for both Warframe players and the Digital Extremes team. The Shadowgrapher update brings a new warframenew game mode, skins, quality of life features, and last but not least, the release of Warframe on a new console. Yes, Warframe is finally available for Nintendo Switch 2, making the space-ninjas game available on all modern consoles. However, if you are a more seasoned player, you’re here for the additional content, and this guide will show you how to get it.

The main highlight of this update is the new warframe, Follie, whose abilities bring innovation to both gameplay and other features that can be used while on your Orbiter. Before starting Follie’s journey, make sure that you have completed the quest “The Chains of Harrow” first. After that, select Venus on your navigation menu, then look for the Vesper Relay, which will have the new game mode “Follies Hunt.”

You will have to complete the painting process 3 times while on a Squad.

In this game mode, you will have to search for ink to then take to a canvas with your Operator, all while being hunted by Follie and her minions. While on this game mode, you will collect the blueprint components for Follie, and the special resource Atramentumwhich can be used to buy her components and other items. You can buy the items on any Relay from Aspirant Zorba, who is outside the Arbiters of Hexis’ room.

Follies abilities include Forced Perspective, which lets you teleport and splash ink that damages enemies. Self Portrait creates a decoy that scales in size with damage taken. Plein Air ties enemies to balloons that you can pop to let the enemies receive fall damage. The passive ability is Inkblot, which covers enemies in ink to slow them, and gives higher chances of energy and health orb drops. The Shadowgraph ability is a gear wheel full of a variety of items, from the RPG to oxygen capsules. What makes Shadowgraph such a unique ability is that in your arsenal, you can draw icons that you can use to replace the default ones!

Don’t even think about… DE said you will be banned for inappropriate drawings!

Other additions include new skins for Gauss and Grendel, new Tennogen cosmetics, and new Operator & Drifter faces. The Awakening quest has also been remastered with visual improvements to the skybox, pacing updates, enemy position changes, rerecorded dialogue, and new musicLastly, new Adversary weapons have been added, and changes to the Requiem Relics have been made; current Relics have been replaced with new Eterna Relic that offers Requiem Mods only.

Since its release earlier this week, the Follie’s Hunt game mode has received a couple of patches to balance difficulty. What do you think of the game mode and Follie’s abilities? Let us know in the comments, and for more Warframe guides, stay tuned to GameObserver
