The Duskbloods Reveals Free Nintendo Switch 2 Beta Dates And Times

If you’ve been waiting to try The Duskbloods, you won’t have to wait much longer. FromSoftware and Nintendo have officially confirmed a Closed Network Test for the upcoming PvPvE game, giving Nintendo Switch 2 players a chance to jump in before launch. The test will run from August 21 to August 24, with five separate play sessions spread across the four days.

Players who want to take part must apply through the game’s official Closed Network Test website. Applications open on July 22 at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET and close on July 28 at 6:59 AM PT / 9:59 AM ET. Those selected will receive an email on August 7 at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET.

The closed beta uses a pre-release version of the game and is meant to help the developers test server performance, multiplayer features, and game balance before launch. FromSoftware also says players should expect bugs and other issues, as the game is still in development. The beta supports matches with up to eight players and is divided into five gameplay sessions:

  • Session 1: August 21, 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM PT / 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM ET
  • Session 2: August 21, 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM PT / August 21, 10:00 PM – August 22, 2:00 AM ET
  • Session 3: August 22, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM PT / 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM ET
  • Session 4: August 23, 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM PT / 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM ET
  • Session 5: August 23, 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM PT / August 23, 10:00 PM – August 24, 2:00 AM ET

If you don’t know much about The Duskbloods, the developers describe it as “a PvPvE title with online multiplayer at its core, where up to eight players vie for supremacy among themselves and against challenging foes.” While an exact release date has not been announced yet, the game is expected to launch this year, some time after the network test is complete. As more information about the game becomes available, we’ll make sure to let you guys know here at GameObserver.
