Street Fighter 6: Alex World Tour Guide

One of the elements that has made Street Fighter 6 special and helped it stand out from other fighting games is its World Tour mode. It acts as the game’s official story mode, featuring small open-world regions where you can meet and become a student of iconic Street Fighter characters. Each character added brings new quests and locations that you need to complete and explore in order to become a student of that fighter. The latest one to join the roster is Alex, and here we will show you not only how to become his student, but also his friend.

To begin, head to your Hangout in the Metro City location. Select the “One Fateful Day” section, then scroll to the end to find the “Wrestle Metro” event and select it. You will be transported to Metro City at the time when Alex is visiting. In front of the arena, on the left side of the stairs, look for Cathy, who will have a quest icon above her. She will give you the quest “Voluncheering,” which has you looking for Jean and trying to bring her back to Cathy. Jean is in Chinatown, and her location should appear on your map. You can fast travel or walk there, whichever suits you. While bringing Jean back, you will engage in a couple of fights and defend her along the way. After returning Jean to Cathy, the quest will end, and Alex’s first cutscene will play, but you won’t meet him just yet.

This quest will have you speaking with many NPCs, but all of them should be marked on your map.

After the cutscene, speak with Jean just outside the arena to start the next quest. Tom will speak with you after Jean leaves and will give you the quest “Find Alex.” The next objective will have you looking for leads on Alex’s location. First, head to the south of the map, near Westbay Promenade, where you will find Mad Gear Butterfly. Butterfly will then send you to Mad Gear Dynamite, who is located in the downtown area. Defeat Dynamite, and he will send you to Andore Jr. at Urban Park. There, you will fight members of the Andore family, and after defeating them, Andore will share Alex’s location with you. Alex is near the park area, in Crow’s Nest. However, to reach him, speak with Crows Burungak at the Crow’s Nest entrance, who will take you to Alex. After speaking with Burungak, Alex’s meeting cutscene will play. He will challenge you to a fight. Complete the fight to become Alex’s student!

After meeting Alex and enrolling as his student, head back to the arena to tell Tom where he is and complete the “Find Alex” quest. However, the story doesn’t end there. Switch to daytime in your Hangout and return to the arena. Outside, you will find a couple of wrestlers who will give you the quest “Superstars Forever.” This mission will have you fighting heel wrestlers all over the city, and they should all be marked on your map. After defeating them, return to the arena to complete the quest, which rewards you with an important gift item: the “Barbell Rattle.”

Use Alex’s fighting style to rank up his style rank even quicker!

Return to Alex and give him the “Barbell Rattle,” which will add 40 levels to his Bond Level. Why is this level important? Well, reaching 100 will reward you with Alex’s Outfit Two (probably the main reason you are here). Other gifts you can give to Alex include the “Fancy Motor Oil,” which adds 5 levels to the meter. One can be obtained from the NPC Tartar in the Square. Defeat Tartar and complete the fight’s specific objective to earn it as a reward. You can also find more Fancy Motor Oil from random NPCs around Metro City. To determine which NPCs have it, get close to them and press the “Details” button; this will show the rewards they drop after completing specific objectives in battle.

Leveling up Alex’s bond meter will unlock more story content and quests directly from him. First, he will offer you the quest “Irresistible Force, Immovable Object.” This quest has you either fighting against Alex or teaming up with him against other Street Fighter characters. There’s no need to travel or spend tickets, as the game will automatically teleport you to the required locations. The next quest from Alex is “Buying Headbands.” Switch to daytime in your Hangout, then head to the Square and buy a Headband from Baby Bonbon. Completing these quests, sparring with Alex, and leveling both his bond and style levels, willet you see his full story.

With that, Alex’s Outfit 2 should be yours, and you should have a better understanding of his backstory. What do you think of Alex’s story? It’s been a hot topic within the fandom over the past few days. Let us know in the comments, and for more Street Fighter content, stay tuned to GameObserver
