It was only yesterday we reported on a major Steam leak that seemingly revealed the intended launch date of the upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Racer. This has since been confirmed, with a brand new release date trailer confirming the racing game will release on October 6 later this year! Along with the details we already knew though, we’ve also got confirmation of the game’s pricing.
The standard edition of Star Wars: Galactic Racer will sell for $59.99 at retail price, both physically and digitally. Pre-orders are live now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic Games. If you want more racing goodness, the Star Wars: Galactic Racer Deluxe Edition is also available for $80, bringing you three exclusive vehicles (Ciza T Speeder Bike, Darc X Landspeeder and Rak S Skim Speeder), along with a unique Livery for the Naboo N-1 starfighter, three arcade events, an exclusive player banner and a digital artbook! The physical release of the Star Wars: Galactic Racer Deluxe Edition includes a steel case with a sleeve too.
If you really want the maximum Star Wars experience, the physical-only Star Wars: Galactic Racer Collector’s Edition adds a special collector’s box, Landspeeder model statue, physical art book, pilot patches and a Kestar banner on top of all the Deluxe Edition inclusions too. This version is only available for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles for $159.99.
If you’re unfamiliar, Star Wars: Galactic Racer takes place following the fall of the Empire, as a new Galactic League forms to make the most of the chaos in an unstable galaxy by racing in unsanctioned circuits. Races aren’t just laps on a track, as players can deliver serious damage to other racers in slams and takedowns. There’s both a story-based campaign mode and online play options, to show off your fully customized repulsorcraft to friends and rivals.
