Star Wars: Galactic Racer Release Date Leaks, Deluxe Edition Details Also Revealed

Steam may have revealed Star Wars: Galactic Racer a bit earlier than expected. A recent Steam page briefly showed the game’s release date as October 6, before the information was quickly removed and changed back to simply “2026.”

The leaked Steam page, spotted by Wario64, also revealed detailed pre-order bonuses and Deluxe Edition rewards, which makes it seem likely that an official announcement is coming soon. Players who pre-order the Standard Edition will reportedly get exclusive vehicle liveries and a special player banner. The Deluxe Edition is said to include three exclusive Kor Sarun vehicles, a Naboo-inspired livery for the N-1 Starfighter, three special arcade events, a digital art book, and even a physical Steelbook.

Although Steam has now removed all of these details, the amount of leaked information makes it clear that a full reveal could happen very soon. It’s also worth noting that the final price has not been revealed yet, but it is likely that Star Wars: Galactic Racer will follow standard AAA pricing, with the Standard Edition around $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition around $89.99, although this is still not officially confirmed.

The game is described as an arcade racing adventure set during the New Republic Era. Players will compete in underground racing leagues called the Galactic League, located in the “lawless Outer Rim.” You will be able to race with podracers, landspeeders, speeder bikes, and the newly introduced skim speeder. Several planets have already been confirmed as race locations, including Hoth, Endor, Tatooine, Jakku, and Ando Prime.

In other Star Wars news, new reports say Star Wars Eclipse is making very little progress, with funding concerns and limited support from NetEase possibly pushing the game’s release several more years away. For more Star Wars related coverage, keep checking GameObserver.
