The ever-evolving and hugely popular Pokémon Pokopia just revealed its next major limited-time event mode, along with the new Pokémon that will appear in the game alongside it next week. This time around it’s Sableye, the sneaky Dark-Ghost type Pokémon that loves shiny things. Appropriately, the new event will be titled Sableye’s Gem Hunt, and tasks players with collecting red crystal fragments in exchange for Sableye’s offerings in the Pokémon Center.
Like past events, the Pokémon Center takes on a new appearance to coincide with Sableye’s Gem Hunt, being covered in colored stones similar to those on Sableye’s body. Inside the building, Sableye will be trading 10 new items. These rewards include furniture, building kits, hanging crystal chains, a backpack, a new lantern and more. We’re particularly curious to see what the building kit turns into, with no preview available just yet.

To collect red crystal fragments, players will once again need to head to Dream Islands using Drifloon whilst interacting with any doll. The fragments can then be mined and brought back when leaving the Dream Island, ready to exchange at any Pokémon Center with its temporary Sableye vendor.
Sableye’s Gem Hunt runs from April 29 at 5 AM local time on your Switch 2, and ends a little over two weeks later on May 14 at 4:59 AM local time. That’s plenty of time for crystal collecting, and daily play will almost guarantee you’ll have everything in Sableye’s Gem Hunt within a week! Like past event items, those that you miss can still be recreated using the Pokémetal resource and the 3D Printer with a picture of the item from another player’s world.
Sableye joins the Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff evolution line as Pokémon added exclusively with limited-time events. We’ll be sure to report on all future Pokémon Pokopia updates as they happen, so check back often to GameObserver for more!
