Pokémon Pokopia Limited-Time Hoppip Event Available Now: Here’s What To Do

It’s time for the first ever special event in Pokémon Pokopia, as three new Pokémon become available to unlock for a limited-time. Joining the luscious lands of Pokopia are Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff, each of them having blown in with the wind and just looking for a cosy place to picnic. Whilst the event is limited-time, there’s still a way to get the items after the event, which we’ll break down later – so don’t worry if you’re struggling to get hold of the game.

To start the ‘More Spores’ Hoppip event, you’ll need a completed Pokémon Center in the first area of the game, that’s the Withered Wasteland. From there, you’ll see that the Pokémon Center is now adorned with pretty flowers, and an adorable Hoppip is looking around at the building. Interacting with the Hoppip will get the event going, so from now on it will be residing inside the Pokémon Center. Your mission is to travel to Dream Islands to collect Cotton Spores that are only found there, and then bring them back to the Hoppip in the Pokémon Center in exchange for new items.

You’ll need to restore the ruined Pokémon Center in the starting area before Hoppip joins the fun.

These unlockable items using the Dream Spores are actually all habitat pieces you’ll need to craft liveable areas for Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff, so you’ll need to buy them all if you’re looking to complete your PokéDex. In total, you’ll need 75 Cotton Spore clusters to unlock everything. You can only go to one Dream Island per day via Drifloon’s traversal ability, but you’ll get plenty in each visit. The first Pokémon Pokopia event ends on 24 March, giving you a good while to make the trips and stock up on all the new floral items.

As we mentioned earlier, there will still be a way to get these Pokémon if you miss the event. The 3D printing feature in-game lets you make a copy of any item in Pokémon Pokopia if you’ve got a picture of it, so all you’ll need to do in future is travel to the world of a player that does have these items and snap a picture for yourself. Then, in exchange for some Pokémetal, you’ll be able to recreate these items for yourself and build the habitats outside of the event!
