It’s been a busy year for Capcom, with new game releases, DLC content, and announcements. Today at Gamescom Opening Night Live, Capcom shared a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, showcasing more of the combat gameplay and new information on the game’s Demo.
The Onimusha: Way of the Sword Demo is available today for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Microsoft Store. However, this Demo brings new additional content, which is also available in an update for the Demo versions on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The new Demo content brings new elements, such as a second quest exploring the Oni Refuge. This stage features an early part of the story where players are introduced to even more gameplay mechanics and the towering boss Daidara.

The trailer also showcases more boss battles, including Ifuu and Burai, an electrifying duo that conjures wind and thunder. Additionally, a sneak peek at protagonist Miyamoto Musashi in his duel with Dokyo, and the first glimpse of gameplay showing the hero in his fully awakened Oni form. With many Boss battles on the horizon, it might be a good idea to prepare for them with the new additions in the Demo.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be available both physically and digitally with its standard edition, while the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions will be available on digital stores. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and also cosmetics and charms for Musashi. The Premium Deluxe Edition features more cosmetics for Musashi and his allies, plus the in-game soundtrack.
