We’re covering the Wholesome Direct live along with all its wonderful announcements, and amongst the many new game reveals came an unexpected port announcement! Having already released on mobile, PC and Nintendo Switch, Is This Seat Taken? is officially coming to PlayStation 5 later this year.
No exact date was specified, but the adorably amusing puzzle game is coming sometime this August, which seems like a perfect match for those late summer afternoons. Along with the reveal of a PS5 port, Is This Seat Taken? also got a minor sales update, as developer Poti Poti Studio thanks the “nearly 1 million players” who have played the game since it first launched on August 7 last year.

For those unaware, Is This Seat Taken? is a logic-based puzzle title that puts you in control of how a group of outlandishly particular individuals get seated together. Players need to take each character and find which seat in the setting would serve them best based on their needs.
From a stinky partygoer who wants to sit in the most fun part of the boat yet away from everyone else’s noses, to a hungry restaurant customer who just wants to be sat as close to the fish as possible, the scenarios that Is This Seat Taken? puts players in are as funny as they are challenging.

The PS5 release coming this August will be joining the existing Switch, Android, iOS, macOS, Linux and Windows PC versions that are all playable now. A free demo is available on Steam if you’re looking to try the game out before committing to a purchase too!
