Final Fantasy XIV has brought many limited-time events this summer. From a Dragon Quest collab to Moonfire Faire celebrations. Before August is over, the FFXIV team brings yet another event, this one celebrating the 13th anniversary of the game itself with The Rising 2026. This event will take place from August 27 to September 10, and requires players to be at least level 15 to start the quest.
To begin the event’s quest, head to the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks, coordinates X:11.0 Y:12.8. There, you will find the Wandering Minstrel, who will offer you the quest “The Symphony of Life.” The Minstrel will ask that you help Bathu Molkoh, who you can find close in the Aftcastle, and will be marked on your map just up the stairs left of the Minstrel. Bathu will ask for your help in the search for her musical rival, who disappeared after the calamity.

The first objective is to ask around for clues about Bathu’s rival, A’nimuili, whereabouts. Head to The Drowning Wench and speak to Bathu there. You will interrogate the barkeep, who will direct you to Lyngsath at The Bismarck. From here, Bathu will follow, and you can interact for some exclusive dialogue in some blue markers around the Upper Decks. After speaking with Lyngsath, he will redirect you to Ayoyo in the Coral Tower. Ayoyo will send you back to the Aftcastle, where you will meet Dorathia and R’tcha, who have spoken recently with A’nimuili.
Dorathia will share with you A’nimuili’s recent location, Aleport in Western La Noscea. Before going there, though, you will have to speak to Bathu in the Dry Docks. After that quick chat, Bathu will cross to Aleport, where you can find her just by the Aetheryte Crystal. Speak to Bathu, and a cutscene will play of the reuniting rivals. After that, return to the Minstrel in the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks. After speaking with the Minstrel, a final special cutscene will play, which helps in celebrating the anniversary of the game, with words from a familiar person…

After the cutscene, you will complete the quest and receive Wind-up Wuk Lamat Minion. However, that’s not the only quest in the event. Speak to the Minstrel again for the Prelude’s Call quest. This is a shorter one; just meet the Minstrel again in Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre in Gridania. A cutscene will play where a mysterious yet familiar figure will play some musical notes. After completing the quest, you will receive three Orchestrion Rolls.
