With Easter coming up, it means it’s time for a celebration in Final Fantasy XIV! For this season, the Hatching-tide event will take the spotlight. In this event, players will search for eggs by cutting grass and then use those eggs as currency to purchase glam pieces and decorations. The event will run from Monday, March 23, 2026, to Monday, April 6, 2026. Like most seasonal events, be sure you are at least level 15 to begin the event quest.
To begin the Hatching-tide journey, head to Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre in Old Gridania. Approach the center of the stage and speak with the Stylish Dreamer to accept the quest “Of Weeds and Whimsy.” She explains her plans for an egg hunt; however, she needs help from Nonotta. You can find Nonotta at the Aetheryte Plaza in New Gridania at coordinates X:11.7, Y:12.3.
You will need to help Nonotta gather some intel. Head to the Carline Canopy (Adventurers’ Guild), where you will find three NPCs marked on your map and HUD. Speak with all three of them, then report back to Nonotta. Your next objective is to speak with the Bespectacled Elezen in Old Gridania (X:10.4, Y:6.5). Then, seek out Herberin in the market area (X:13.7, Y:9.3), who will provide the weapon you’ll use in the event’s Duty. After speaking with Herberin and obtaining the scythe, return to the amphitheatre and speak with Nonotta to unlock the Seasonal Duty, Sprig Cleaning.
In this Duty, you will use the scythe to cut weeds that drop eggs. It is a solo Duty with an approximate three-minute timer, so be sure to cut as many as you can within that time. After completing the Duty, speak to Nonotta, then return to the Stylish Dreamer to finish the quest. You will be rewarded with the Party Eggy Glasses, The Faces We Wear – Party Eggy Glasses, and the Springtime Delights achievement.
After completing the quest, you can repeat the Spring Cleaning Duty by speaking with the Egg Usher. The Brilliant Eggs you earn can be used as currency with the Egg Advocate. Items available in the shop include:

While short, the addition of Sprig Cleaning makes Hatching-tide 2026 a memorable event. It would be even better to have its mode available to play with other players in the future.
