We’ve had a lot of Final Fantasy headlines recently but it’s time for another, as the soundtrack for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on Spotify and Apple Music! It’s been an extraordinarily long wait for fans to see the soundtrack come to streaming services, with the game originally releasing in February 2024 and the physical soundtracking having been available for purchase since April that same year. The massive soundtrack comes with a whopping 175 songs available to stream, making it around 9 hours and 30 minutes in length if you’re planning to listen to the entire thing. There are some geographic restrictions, with Square Enix Music only supporting 55 countries with their releases.
That’s the good news covered, but there’s actually a catch for particularly hardcore fans of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth soundtrack. Whilst the album does contain most major songs from the game, it’s actually missing a chunk of songs too. The physical release had a ‘Special Edit Version’ that came with an eighth bonus disc, and had 34 additional tracks that won’t be coming to streaming services. These include the legendary Stamp songs, such as the upbeat Stamp mission theme that fans call “Bow Wow Wow”.

There’s an enhanced Final Fantasy VII Rebirth soundtrack coming this April called the ‘Plus’ edition, which includes an extra five discs worth of tracks that have never been on other soundtracks, and it’s possible Stamp’s English theme could be included on this album, as it’s never been officially released before. Thankfully, whilst the special edit version likely won’t be coming to streaming based on past trends, the Plus version will, so keep waiting and maybe next year we’ll have another five discs of additional music to listen to!
