Every Announcement From Summer Game Fest: Gayming Pride Parade

The nonprofit organization the Gayming Foundation hosted the Gayming Pride Parade today as an official Summer Game Fest partner community showcase. Hosted by streamer MiladyConfetti and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Jax, the stream spotlighted LGBTQ+ games and creators with “a lineup of world premieres, exclusive announcements, release date reveals, new gameplay updates and developer insights.”

Rizz Dungeon: Skeleton Key to My Heart

In the bottom right corner of a battle interface screen, a small orange demon monster girl in a leather bralette and fishnets with long blonde pigtails makes a flirty face with her tongue sticking out. In the main center window, a large, muscly werewolf lady with an off-the-shoulder peasant top and leather corset stares impassively back. A small chat window in the bottom left shows the history of "moves" in the battle, example "Goblin was successfully RIZZED!"
I like a lady with a little hair on her chest.

From LGBTQ-owned studio Snoozy Kazoo, Rizz Dragon: Skeleton Key to My Heart is a combination of a dungeon crawler and a (messy) dating sim. You play as Taffy, a pointedly weak character who aims to get her stuff back from her evil ex (a dragon and the dungeon’s boss monster) via “relationship-driven combat.” That is, you can flirt your way into having the monster girls that populate the dungeon join your party, made a bit easier by doing some research beforehand on the World Wide Spiderweb. Once you have some monster girls on your side, you can have them fight for you, or you can keep flirting… as long as no one gets jealous.

Studio founder and director Yukon Wainczak as well as artist and designer Pearl Slayton were interviewed briefly during the stream after the trailer aired. Studio Kazoo released Turnip Boy duology of games in 2021 and 2024, respectively. And Waiczak described the studio as being known for “weird, comedic games with a lot of parody dumped straight in.” Slayton added: “It’s a very uncertain world right now…just being joyful is sometimes an act of rebellion…I just want our players to feel joy, and to feel seen.”

Rizz Dungeon will be available on Steam on September 17, 2026.

SHE: Seraphim Helix Experiment

Making its World Premiere Announcement during the Stream, the latest from Toronto-based Rocket Adrift Games, ladies and gentlemen, SHE: Seraphim Helix Experiment. This Lovecraftian psychological horror game has you playing as a woman with no memory of what has happened in the underground military facility in which you are trapped. Via radio conversations that are heavily inspired by Metal Gear Solid 2, you discover more about the monsters that are trapped in the darkness with you, and how they came to be there.

Lindsay Rollins, game artist and one-third of Rocket Adrift Games co-op, told Jax and MiladyConfetti that the overturning of Roe v Wade caused the studio to be more politically mindful of the projects they were pursuing, and it seems to have had some influence over the elements of body horror that made their way into the game as well:

“We want the monster designs to reflect the elements of femininity, of physicality that might frighten people, or might seem lurid in everyday, polite society. But this is the reality of having this kind of body.”

You can currently join the Rocket Adrift Patreon for Behind the Scenes footage, exclusive devlogs from the team, and future opportunities to playtest early builds of the game.

Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker Makeover

A gameshow style background with two people standing at podiums showing there names. A large pink popup decorated with red hearts in the center of the screen says "Congratulations, they've become a couple!"
Am I a matchmaker or a gameshow host? Why not both?

Just over ten years from its original Steam release, this unique game that “feels like being yelled at by your favorite drag queen while you try to keep two strangers from breaking up over soup” is getting its own makeover. Remastered with new artwork, new minigames, and a host of new customization options, Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker Makeover is one of the few dating sims where you aren’t doing any dating yourself. You’re making matches and trying to make sure they stay successful, all under the watchful eye of the titular Ms. Powers.

Kitty Powers is the stage persona of game developer and Magic Notion Ltd studio founder Rich Franke. In an interview he gave to Polygon in 2015, he said: “The idea that we wouldn’t be inclusive never crossed my mind.” So, the fact that the remaster includes the addition of non-binary characters alongside game controller support seems a foregone conclusion, but a commendable one nonetheless.

The remastered version was released on Steam this February and is 10% off until June 19.

Art of Solitaire

To the left, a large "King of hearts" card showing a cartoon chamelon in rainbow colors wearing a purple king's robe and golden crown. To the left is shown an array of 52 cards in a standard deck, all of a similar chameleon design, with some lit up to indicate that they have already been collected by the player.
The king of everyone’s hearts, really.

“Where classic card games meet card collection,” Art of Solitaire proclaims in its trailer. What sets Art of Solitaire apart is the way you earn new decks card by card with booster packs rewarded at the end of every game. Each collectible deck is illustrated by an indie artist, “focusing on diversity in art and identity”, and each June they specifically commission an LGBTQ+ artist to celebrate Pride. This year, the featured artist is Kamila Król, and her deck theme is “Queer Folk”, a deck inspired by Slavic and Eastern European folk art.

Krol, Flick Games founder Ian Masters, and Creative Producer Santiago Taberna gave a brief interview together during the stream, with Krol accidentally revealing that beyond the deck design, she had also worked on an upcoming “sticker” feature to allow players to decorate their virtual card tables as well.

The base game is free to play, although a monthly subscription earns additional daily bonuses and exclusive customizations. Art of Solitaire is currently available on Android and iOS devices, and is in Early Access on Steam.

Cute Patoots

A blue egg-shaped character with yellow eyes and red shoes stands on a battlefield with the level boss, a large, white, friendly looking mechanical dragon.
If not friend, why friend-shaped?

Cute Patoots is a “retro-inspired 2D platform shooter” that boasts non-linear level design, a host of upgrades and power-ups, and even creature-collecting mechanics. The brightly colored pixel art and character designs that can be best described as “friend-shaped” promise “dynamic adventure where cute meets danger!”

Patrix Randazzo of OKiPOKiGames said that the themes of Cute Patoots came from accepting yourself, pushing back against notions of “good vibes only,” and learning to accept and live with our emotions. Randazzo also commented on the experience of worldbuilding with a gender-agnostic set of characters:

“It really helped me as I’m considering the dialogue and narrative to be a little creative and introspective on how I can write without the constraint of gender…These characters, they’re just all friends. There’s not an important factor of them being he, or she, or they. I purposely omitted that demarcation in the game…but the characters don’t care what they’re called…it’s not really that relevant in their world.”

Cute Patoots can be wishlisted on Steam, you can find the demo on the OKiPOKiGames itch.io page, and you can find secrets and the latest updates from the dev team on okipokiegames.com

Spill the Beans

A skeleton with greaser hair and leather jacket stands in a spotlight against the background of a darkened cafe. To his left, a vampire with dark brown skin, pink hair, wearing a pink frilly outfit and hat and round black glasses waits with her hands folded neatly. The skeleton's dialogue box says: "Jessie: Hey Grudge! Um, Grudge... can you hear me?"
Even if you got no guts, you still need coffee, I guess

Spill the Beans is a reverse-detective visual novel where you are the culprit. You’ve stolen a secret recipe from the cafe where you work, and no one is leaving until your boss figures out who did it… or until you frame one of the other people locked in the cafe with you. The cozy cafe setting is combined with a cast of fantasy characters, including your talking-cat boss, each with a story to uncover as you decide which of the fifteen potential accusation paths you’ll try next. The game is designed to be highly reactive to player choice, with characters remembering how you’ve treated them.

Naoimh Murchan, writer and programmer at Skeletal Games, gave a bit of backstory on the game’s development. Ultimately, she described the takeaway of the story they are creating to be: What does it mean to manipulate someone? To Marchan, it means to know someone else extremely well, to know their flaws you can exploit and ways you can change them. Yet, it also means that they do not truly know you, to not see through the facade. “The inherent loneliness of that, of knowing someone but not being known yourself…Across the course of the game, as you change people’s hearts and minds, you start to see other paths open up, and the importance of connection.”

Spill the Beans has a newly updated demo now available on Steam.

Neon Death Drop

Against the backdrop of a neon battlefield filled with robots and colorful energy attacks, two men in futuristic clothes have a conversation. Leo: But Seraph, How are you disposing of the rogue power bots? Seraph: Easy! I sashay across the battlefield, drop the floor, and push them in!
Well, when you put it like that, it sounds easy!

Neon Death Drop is a top-down action game where you play as go-go dancer Serif, using choreography and some killer kinetic attacks to fight off hordes of rogue robots to save a neon-lit cyberpunk futuristic city. Coordinating movement, rhythm, and style points is crucial to effective offense and surviving bullet hell attacks… as is not walking off the edge of your sky-high battle arena.

Diamond Dust Games director Mark Shteller was also a gogo dancer and said the inspiration for the game was to share the feeling of being the life of the party with everyone who plays.

Neon Death Drop’s demo is available on Steam now.

Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets

A blue haired protagonist stands before a lit clear column in a decaying ruin. Inside the column floats a blobby octopus.
The strange and mysterious Octopus…

Inspired by classic JRPGs from the Game Boy era, Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets is an epic adventure set in a world where octopi have mysteriously been erased from history and shadow monsters are consuming the world. Six heroes go on a quest to defeat the shadows and uncover the world’s forgotten past.

Christophe Galati, owner of Deneos, explains that while drag is part of the characters’ storylines, it is a vital part of the world Galati has created, present in every bar in every town the heroes will visit. In fact, there are more than fifty cameos of real-world drag queens within the game, with a Pokedex-like mechanic that allows you to track whether you’ve discovered all of them as you play. Drag is also part of combat within the game, with the player unlocking new looks with different stats and abilities as they progress.

With the game’s Kickstarter recently funded, Galati hopes for a 2027 release; however, a demo is playable now on Steam.

Wylde Society

Two humans and one orc, all in period clothing reminiscent of Victorian or Edwardian, sit together on a sofa with teacups and talking animatedly.
Nothing like a tea party with the whole coven.

Described by Victoria Kershaw of Studio Drydock as “Witch Bridgerton”, Wylde Society puts you in the shoes of a witch who owns a boarding house. The fashion and architecture are all inspired by period dramas, as are the tea parties and the potential romances, for those you matchmake or for the relationships you decide to start for yourself. However, the coven forming, ritual performing, and discovery of words of power. That’s where the witchy stuff comes in.

The emphasis is on player choice. Kershaw explains that you decide which NPCs to take as boarders, whether or not you decide you’d like to pursue a romance, even whether you get involved in local politics. “We’re really passionate about cozy, heartfelt storytelling, creating immersive, nonviolent games, and reflective worlds where everyone can belong.”

The game will be releasing on Steam first and can be wishlisted now, but if you’re interested in the game’s development on other platforms, you can join the Studio Drydock mailing list at wyldesociety.com

Resources for Gaymers

Throughout the stream, groups similar to the Gayming Foundation were featured that focus on providing resources and support to LGBT+ players, developers, and creators. This included Qweerty Gamers, who are conducting events all month long during their annual Queer Quest, and the Boston Gaymers, who are preparing to host their inaugural convention, Gaymer Fest, this September.

The Gayming Foundation is also hosting the Gayming Awards Monday, June 8, at 7 pm PT, and additional fundraising efforts coming later this Pride Month. Keep an eye on their socials for more information!
