It has been a long month of teasing, hinting and waiting, but Dead by Daylight is almost ready to reveal their next Killer. We’ve had many Killer reveals throughout the history of Dead by Daylight, but there’s a reason fans are desperate to hear the next one: it’s the 10th anniversary of the asymmetrical horror game, and the team at Behaviour Interactive have been hinting at something big.
In a new post on their social media accounts, Dead by Daylight reveal the previously censored part of their May 2026 roadmap, which slowly reveals the phrase ‘stop peeking’, before changing to ‘tune in’. A livestream will begin tomorrow night at 6PM PDT / 9PM EDT / 2AM BST / 3AM CEST, where all will be revealed regarding what it is they’ve been teasing, which is anticipated to be the next Killer.

It’s about the right time for a new Killer addition, following January’s licensed killer Vecna from Stranger Things, and before that was original killer The Krasue last September. Exactly which Killer it will be is currently anyone’s guess, and the cryptic teasers put out by Behaviour Interactive don’t give us many answers either.
Fans have been speculating about two main possibilities – Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Pennywise the Dancing Clown from Stephen King’s It. There are a few reasons for these choices, with Jason being a highly requested Killer since the game launched in 2016, and Pennywise seeing a huge resurgence in popularity following HBO’s hit IT: Welcome to Derry series last year.

The most recent teaser asked fans “Can you feel the darkness feeding on the heartless?” A question which left Dead by Daylight players even more perplexed than before in how it doesn’t relate to the two perceived front-runners to be the next Killer. If anything, these specific word choices align far greater to Kingdom Hearts!
Tomorrow night, we’ll finally have some answers. Check back late tomorrow to GameObserver for the latest in Dead by Daylight news, as the 10th Anniversary Killer gets revealed.
