Build Adorable Dioramas In Newly Revealed Cozy Sandbox Hokko Spaces

In 2022, developer Wonderscope Games released Hokko Life, a charming and relaxing town builder set in a peaceful village. Now, the developer has announced another cozy game: Hokko Spaces, which centers around creating small, adorable scenes populated by cute residents exhibiting a wide variety of unique behavior. Hokko Spaces was one of the many announcements made alongside the 2026 Wholesome Direct broadcast, and was one of several world premieres featured as part of the announcement.

In Hokko Spaces, players can create a variety of scenes and dioramas in a casual sandbox space. You can unlock furniture, decorations, residents, and tasks for those residents to perform. The spaces you can create range from a cherry blossom forest to a relaxing beach to a cozy sidewalk cafe. There’s no pressure, no timer, no deadline – the only limit is your imagination! Like the previous title, Hokko Life, it centers around the concept of “hokko,” which blends the idea of having warm, fuzzy feelings and a cozy, comfortable experience.

Once you’ve created and furnished a space and chosen which residents will live there, you can simply sit back, relax, and watch them interact. They’ll chat with each other, get to know each other better, interact with items you’ve placed in the space, and perform tasks such as gardening or tidying up. You might even catch them doing yoga or enjoying a delicious meal together!

Currently, Hokko Spaces does not have an official release date, although more information will likely be revealed in the future. Hopefully, we will also get a closer look in the future at the many different residents you will be able to attract to your spaces and the types of furniture and decoration items you can use to populate them.

Hokko Spaces was just one of many exciting announcements made during or just after the 2026 Wholesome Direct. Make sure to check out GameObserver’s full coverage of the event and the many cozy games that were revealed!
