Beast Of Reincarnation Receives Big Update Addressing Player Feedback | GameObserver

Last week, we reported how the teams at Game Freak and Fictions were analyzing players’ feedback for Beast of Reincarnation through a community forum on Steam. Some of the requests from players included camera and FOV adjustments, font size, ultrawide monitor support, and more. In the forum, the team promised updates to those requests soon, and today, Game Freak has released an update addressing some of that feedback, which includes:

  • Various adjustments to the player camera, both in and out of combat. Additional camera adjustments will be made going forward. An option to adjust the camera distance from the player and adjustments to camera presentation are planned.
  • Adjustments to text size throughout the game. Further subtitle text size adjustments, as well as providing players with an options to change text size, are being planned.
  • Playback conditions for certain cutscenes to prevent them from playing back-to-back. Affinity conversations will now trigger only once per day. Further improvements, such as adjusting certain visual presentation elements and allowing players to replay cutscenes at will, are being considered. More details will be announced at a later date.
  • The default cinematic cutscene setting has been changed from Cinematic to Performance mode. This means that cutscenes will no longer play at 24fps by default, though the option is still available. If this option is already set to Cinematic, changing it to Performance will apply this change going forward.
  • In the settings menu, you can now customize the binding for the ‘Interact’ button independently.
  • Adjustments to the parry window when Emma is taking damage.
  • Fixing a bug where, if the interact button is mapped to the square/X button, pressing it during the story event where you talk to Kagura on the Walker would incorrectly prioritize “rest until morning”, preventing you from talking to Kagura.
  • Various balance adjustments to bosses across all difficulty levels.
  • Various balance adjustments to normal enemy encounters on Normal difficulty.
  • Various Bug Fixes.

In the patch notes post, the team also shares that “Multiple additional patches are planned, and various fixes and adjustments will continue to be made in response to ongoing player feedback.” Some of those requests the team planned to address in future updates include ultrawide support, DLSS 4/4.5 and FSR4 support, the ability to use healing injections immediately upon taking damage, the option to adjust the camera distance from the player, and more.
