Umamusume: Pretty Derby has PvP tournaments called Champions Meeting, where you can compete with other players and their Umas. The Aquarius Cup is the latest Champions Meeting, and it is going to begin in early March. For the exact dates of the Champions Meeting, keep an eye on the in-game notice board. There are a bunch of things you’ll have to keep in mind as you prepare for the Aquarius Cup if you want to win and get those Carats.
Aquarius Cup Champions Meeting Conditions

If you plan to use the Groundwork skill or simply give conditional skills to your Umas to enhance their performance on the track, then you’ll have to be mindful of the Aquarius Cup’s track conditions. It is a Dirt race, held on the Tokyo Racecourse. The distance for the race is 1600m, which makes it a Mile race. The direction of the track is left.
Furthermore, the race is held in the winter season, on a sunny day, and the track’s condition is firm. The following conditional skills can be useful for the upcoming Aquarius Cup:
- Sunny Days
- Standard Distance
- Left-Handed
- Winter Runner
- Tokyo Racecourse
- Firm Conditions
Suitable Trainees For Aquarius Cup Champions Meeting

The race is held on a Dirt and Mile track, which means that you won’t be able to use most of your Turf trainees without giving them proper inspirations. However, some trainees are more suitable for Dirt races by default, making them an easy option to raise and prepare for the upcoming Aquarius Cup.
Oguri Cap has a B in Dirt, and you can raise it to an A or even S by giving her proper inspiration. Base Oguri Cap is usually a strong candidate in PvP, and the Aquarius Cup is no different. Similarly, Taiki Shuttle can also be an impressive asset in this race. However, both Taiki Shuttle and Oguri Cap are Three-Star Umas.

If you don’t have them, you can also rely on El Condor Pasa and Haru Urara. El Condor Pasa is a super strong candidate for the Aquarius Cup. However, you’ll have to give her Dirt inspirations to raise her aptitude. On the other hand, Haru Urara has a B in Mile, so you’ll have to give her Mile inspiration to raise her aptitude so she can be successful in the race.
Preparations For The Aquarius Cup Champions Meeting

If you want to practice and test out your trainees before the Champions Meeting, you can head to the practice mode and select the February Stakes race. After selecting the race, you can then manually adjust the conditions for the racetrack to match the Aquarius Cup’s track.
After that, you can then try out your Umas with other practice partners that you’ve saved or simply against the CPU Umas. Furthermore, if you want to practice with other players, you can create a custom room with the February Stakes race or join a public one to practice with other players and see if your Umas are prepared for what’s to come.
