Tennocon celebration kicked off yesterday with a concert showcasing the music of Digital Extremes’ current live games, Warframe and Soulframe. For those hearing the word “Tennocon” for the first time, it is a festival-like event where DE shares the next big updates for Warframe and now their in-development project Soulframe. With yesterday’s concert over, today is all about future content, and Soulframe is the first to take the stage.
Being an in-development project, Soulframe currently requires signing up and waiting for an invite to the game from Digital Extremes. However, for this weekend of celebration, everyone who signs up at Soulframe.com will be able to secure a spot in the Soulframe Preludes. This immediate access will be available until July 12 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

For those who have been playing Soulframe already, a requested feature has been the addition of mounts. Today, DE announced that the wait will be over, with a mount system becoming available later this year. This wasn’t the only gameplay system to be revealed, with a fishing mini-game also making its way to the game, corrupted player progression, and new fable quests coming later this fall. Regarding that corrupting power, the new Vadagar Pact will open new gameplay possibilities such as tossing exploding boomerangs, calling forth ensnaring tendrils, or summoning a stampede of corrosive steeds that leave behind murky pools in their wake.
On the narrative side, the Warsongs fable quest includes a new antagonist, Tempest Bayor, who is voiced by Ben Starr. While his motives are unknown, the Empress of Eldveil (portrayed by Jennifer English) might give you some information on that at a later time. For today, however, a new boss encounter is available with the Mendicant Reinbreaker.
