Sony has officially unveiled the 007 First Light-themed limited-edition DualSense Wireless Controller, a special collector’s item created to celebrate the upcoming James Bond origin story game. This limited-edition controller will launch globally alongside the game on May 27 in limited units, priced at $84.99 / £74.99 / €84.99.
The controller features a premium gold finish with black accents, paying tribute to the the James Bond franchise, with clear inspiration from Goldfinger. The design continues on the touchpad, which includes the iconic 007 logo along with a radiant gun-barrel design, while the back of the controller features the game’s title and the tagline “Earn the Number.”

As explained by art director Rasmus Poulsen, “With this 007 First Light controller, we saw an opportunity to welcome James Bond back to gaming after more than 13 years in a way that felt instantly iconic. The golden finish pays tribute to the elegance, legacy, and timeless style of the franchise, while the barrel-inspired detailing reflects the themes of the game and how it feels to play it, as well as being a nod to one of pop culture’s most recognizable visual signatures.”
He also added, “Every element of the DualSense design was crafted as a celebration of Bond’s return, blending legacy and modernity to create a controller that feels unmistakably 007 from the moment you see it.”
Beyond the design, the controller keeps all standard DualSense features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, which are expected to be used to enhance gunfights and explosive action in the game. For those interested, pre-orders will begin on April 17, at 10:00 AM local time through the official PlayStation Direct Store and authorized retailers.
As mentioned earlier, the game is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 27, while the Nintendo Switch 2 version will release later this summer after yesterday’s delay, with an exact release date still yet to be announced.
