Resident Evil Veronica remake has passed two million wishlists across digital platforms despite not having an exact release date and being scheduled to launch in 2027. While these are not pre-orders or sales figures, the milestone shows just how much interest there is in Capcom’s next Resident Evil remake before players can even buy it.
The game also reached this milestone much faster than Resident Evil Requiem, which took around four months to hit the same number. Resident Evil Veronica remake managed to do it about two months sooner, making it one of the quickest games in the franchise to reach this milestone. Capcom celebrated the milestone by sharing a message featuring the elderly woman from the game’s reveal trailer. They said, “2 million biscuits for the 2 million of you who’ve wishlisted Resident Evil Veronica. Thank you!”
Currently, not much is known about the game. However, Resident Evil Veronica remake is being developed by the same team behind the highly praised remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, which will clearly give players more confidence in the project. The remake will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Capcom has also dropped the word “Code” from the original Resident Evil Code: Veronica title, bringing the game’s name in line with its newer releases.
At the time of writing, the exact release date for the Resident Evil Veronica remake has not been revealed. However, as previously mentioned, the game is set to launch sometime in 2027. In addition, there is no official price for Resident Evil Veronica yet, as Capcom has not announced any pricing details.
