Paralives Hits 250,000 Sales On Launch Day

Paralives has sold 250,000 copies just eight hours after launching into Early Access. After several delays, the sandbox life sim by Paralives Studio released on May 25 and is currently slated to stay in Early Access for around two years, with the first major update due in the fourth quarter of this year.

Paralives Studio is a team of life sim fans who want to introduce a new take on the genre with Paralives – promising an extensive range of customization options and a growing pool of content, all to be delivered through free updates. As a result, the game has caught the eyes of thousands of fans of other life sim games, most notably The Sims.

Paralives has a promising road map ahead.

In Paralives, players have control over a small open-world town with shops, parks, restaurants, and museums, which offers a place to call home for their Parafolk, and also somewhere to build a career, find love, start a family, and more – the world is their oyster.

Players can create their dream home with the game’s grid-less construction mechanic, and there will be a growing catalogue of furniture and items to fill these homes with. The housebuilding, interior design, and the game’s “Paramaker” (character creator) have colour wheels and resizing sliders, allowing for extensive customization to the player’s desire.

Paralives gives players free reign over a small open world town.

Once the building is complete and they are settled into their new homes, Parafolk can find a career with different progression paths, interact with other Parafolk and form relationships (or do the exact opposite of that), and develop personality traits, skills, wants, needs, and emotions as they go through life from start to finish.

Currently, the studio plans to implement cars, boats, a town creation tool, pets, bikes, pools, a calendar with social events, NPC story progression, family trees, gardening, and fishing during Paralives’ Early Access period as well as additional clothes, furniture, personality traits, social interactions, skills, town activities and more – and it pledges to do so without ever releasing paid DLC.
