It’s only been a little over a year since the release of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, the game that brought back original protagonist Max Caulfield in an adventure set years after the first game following her new career as a university photographer. However, Square Enix are back with a new Life is Strange game that’s set to be revealed next week on January 20.
The premiere event has already been posted on YouTube, with the countdown displaying five days at time of writing before the reveal goes live. We’ve very little to go off, other than the possible hints provided in the description, which says “separate the real from the rumor.” This is likely a reference to the leak of a PEGI rating for a previously unannounced ‘Life is Strange: Reunion‘. This is likely what the reveal will be for, and the title is extremely promising for fans of the games.

Although fans were somewhat divided on Life is Strange: Double Exposure, one almost universal criticism was the lack of Max’s former love interest Chloe Price. Despite the game establishing she’s still alive, fans were hoping to see a reunion of the two after almost a decade apart since the release of Life is Strange. That’s why the leaked title of Life is Strange: Reunion is an exciting one for many, but as Square Enix said in their YouTube description, we need to find out what reality there is to this rumor.
You can see the reveal of the next Life is Strange game on YouTube, airing at 10AM PST / 1PM EST / 6PM GMT or 7PM CET on January 20. Alternatively, check back to GameObserver often for the latest in gaming news including the reveal of what’s next for Life is Strange!
