Genshin Impact Announces Nicole, Lohen And New Archon Quest For Version Luna VII

The Genshin Impact Version Luna VII Special Program just aired today, promising three new characters, Nicole, Lohen and Prune, as well as a new Archon Quest. Let’s take you through everything you need to know if you’ve missed the livestream!

The Special Program for Version Luna VII, “Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana”, began with a little version trailer, followed by an overview of Genshin Impact’s upcoming Archon Quest. This new chapter in the game’s main story will take players back to Sumeru to solve a dire crisis with the help of old friends. The quest encompasses two Acts, “As All Falls to Emptiness” and “Of Myriad Paths, Flux, and Dissolution”. Moreover, for a limited time, players will be able to earn 560 Primogems and ascension materials for Nicole by completing the quest. An old nemesis, Dottore, is also likely to play a part in this adventure. He was already announced as a new boss, “Exalted Master of the Heretical Path” during the program.

Finally, Genshin Impact will implement several quality-of-life features for future Archon Quests. Guiding Notes will offer easily accessible information on past Genshin adventures on the quest overview screen. In addition, players will be able to look up information during dialogue scenes and receive a notification for Archon Quest auto-saves starting with Version Luna VII. And if you’re deeply invested in Genshin Impact lore, I recommend you check out the Snezhnaya teaser unveiled at the very end of the Special Program!

Today’s Special Program gave us a first look at the three new characters to be released in Version Luna VII. Starting with Nicole, who will be the first playable mage from Genshin Impact’s Hexenzirkel. Nicole is a five-star Catalyst user with a Pyro vision. Her Elemental Skill provides a shield to the active character in addition to a team-wide ATK boost. Meanwhile, her Elemental Burst summons an arcane projection that performs coordinated attacks alongside the active character. In Version Luna VII, players will be able to go on a treasure hunt inside Nicole’s lodge, with a new room opening once per week.

Next up is Lohen, who is another five-star character, albeit with a slightly more complex kit. After activating his Elemental Skill, Lohen enters a special state during which he accumulates “Will to Win” whenever other party members deal high damage. Will to Win then increases the damage Lohen deals with his special Elemental Skill and Burst. Lohen is a Cryo Polearm character. He will also receive a story quest, offering Primogems and level-up materials as rewards.

The final newcomer in Version Luna VII is Prune, a four-star Anemo Catalyst user. Prune’s Elemental Skill unleashes her hammer, whilst her Burst deals off-field AOE Anemo damage and buffs her teammates after Swirl reactions are triggered. She also has additional synergy with Hexerei characters, such as Nicole.

The first half of Version Luna VII will feature five-star banners for Nicole and Durin, as well as a drop rate boost for Prune. Nicole’s signature Catalyst “Angelo’s Heptade” will also be available on the Weapon Banner. During the second half, players will be able to wish for Lohen, his signature Polearm “Disaster and Remorse” and Pyro Archon Mavuika.

“Phantasmal Pals” was the main event discussed during today’s program. This event will allow players to spend time with the members of the Little Hexenzirkel: Klee, Sayu, Yaoyao, Qiqi and Prune. Throughout four different minigames, travelers can earn rewards, such as Primogems and a new Claymore weapon skin.

For those looking to farm even more Primogems, the event called “To Temper Thyself and Journey Far” will allow just that by completing weekly goals. The final two events in Version Luna VII, “Trials of the Brave Warrior” and “Kaleidoscopic Color Phase”, will be focused on combat and movement challenges, respectively.

Two new artifact sets will be added to Genshin Impact in Version Luna VII: “Celestial Gift” and “Disenchantment in Deep Shadow”. Moreover, Genius Invocation TCG will receive three card additions: Flynn, Lauma and the Experimental Field Generator. New Envisaged Echoes Challenges will also be added for Navia and Wanderer. For Genshin Impact music enthusiasts, the album “Hexerei: Ballad of Whimsical Polyphony” will be featured in the Repertoire of Myriad Medlodies, and the Treasure of Myriad Melodies Shop will offer score themes for Durin and Varka.
