Today’s the day – and we don’t just mean The Game Awards! The initial wave of LEGO Ninjago cosmetics have been released in Fortnite after our first look a few days ago, and the options for fans are plentiful. In total, there are 17 Battle Royale cosmetics to be earned or purchased in the collaboration so far: that’s four character skins (each with a LEGO and human variant), four emotes, three weapons, three backblings and three loading screens! We’ve got reason to believe there’s more coming though, but more on that later.
Breaking down the cosmetics a little further, we’ve got Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane all available as character skins, with each having an emote that matches their elemental affinity also. The latter three are available in the item shop, and can be purchased in a bundle with their matching weapons as pickaxes and back blings, whilst Kai is part of the LEGO Pass, which is also where we’ll find his emote and the loading screens. Curiously, whilst a pickaxe and back bling have been found for Kai in the game files, they aren’t available anywhere to earn just yet.

As for how much this all costs, Kai’s LEGO Pass will set you back 1,000 V-Bucks, and also comes with a bunch of builds for the LEGO Fortnite game modes that are themed around this Ninjago update. Over in the item shop, each character skin is 1,200 V-Bucks, whilst their emotes are 300 V-Bucks and their back blings and weapons come bundled 800 V-Bucks. For maximum savings (and spending), you can get the entire LEGO Ninjago item shop bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks. Therefore, if you want everything, you’ll need to put down a hefty 3,800 V-Bucks for the entire collaboration.
The LEGO Fortnite Odyssey mode has also received a massive update with new content, including locations to explore, enemies to battle, and a new story quest too.
This is only the first wave of the LEGO Ninjago Fortnite crossover, and as always we’ll be sure to report on what comes next. Keep your eyes on GameObserver for more extensive Fortnite coverage and breaking news from across the industry.
