Fortnite’s Collaboration With LEGO Ninjago Drops Tomorrow

Fortnite is no stranger to collaborations, but this one has been a long time coming. After having an entire dedicated LEGO mode and giving almost all of their skins new LEGO styles to match, Fortnite is finally crossing over with a LEGO-specific series: Ninjago. Rolling out tomorrow, that’s December 11, the colorful ninjas of the LEGO Ninjago world will be taking over the Fortnite item shop, LEGO Pass and the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey game mode. Let’s break down everything we know is coming so far.

Firstly, perhaps the thing everyone is most excited for are the new character skins! So far, we’ve had confirmation of Kai, Zane, Jay and Cole cosmetics, with the former being part of his own dedicated LEGO Pass, and the other three headed for the Fortnite item shop. Whilst the characters are best known for their appearance in LEGO minifigure form (and this is an option to wear in LEGO game modes), the whole gang will also be receiving full, human-sized Fortnite character skins as well. These skins take elements of their LEGO designs, and reimagines them as a real-life elemental ninja.

The LEGO Ninjago cast will receive both LEGO and Fortnite variants.

Along with the cosmetics, we’ve also got the LEGO Fortnite Odyssey major update ‘Ninjago: Rise of the Ninja’ to look forwards to. On arrival, players will find themselves on Ninjago Island with new locations to explore based on the elements of the ninjas, along with new biomes, new weapons, builds, enemies and a two-part story campaign. You can read the full patch notes for all the specifics right here.
