One of 2025’s breakout hits was Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. It’s cozy, it’s a life sim with building and crafting, but it also has plenty of action and resource grinding for those who want a more interactive and slightly more difficult experience. The game has received a lot of free updates since it launched – but the developers at Level-5 just dropped their biggest yet right before Christmas!
Titled ‘The Sinister Broker Bazario’s Schemes’, this update’s biggest addition to the game is Snoozaland, a new roguelike open-world area mode that starts players from Level 1 with no resources and sees them building up their power each run to try and conquer this nightmarish world. The map and enemies change each time you play, making each run new and impossible to breeze through.
The update also adds some major quality of life changes and content additions to Fantasy Life i too, including an expansion of Islander Houses available in the base camp from 6 to 10, a new Polishing feature which lets players enhance their weapons and tools when crafting as a Blacksmith, Carpenter or Alchemist, added undiscovered recipes to the recipes screen along with details on how to acquire them, and much more. There’s of course also a load of new items, from materials and armor to furniture and stickers.
