EVO 2026 in Las Vegas has concluded, with new and recurring champions taking the crown. Over the weekend, thousands of players competed for a place in the finals. Street Fighter 6 attracted the most competitors, with over 2,400 players signing up for a $100,000 prize pool. For Tekken 8, 1,350 entered for the $70,000 prize, around 1000 for 2XKO with a $135,000 reward. For the rest of the tournaments, prize pools ranged from $20,000 to $55,000, with Rivals of Aether 2 and Guilty Gear Strive registering 1000 players each. For Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and Invincible VS, around 400 players registered for each game. Last but not least, for Vampire Savior, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes, and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, around 200 players registered for each to battle for the final prize.
At the main event, MenaRD made his way to the Street Fighter 6 finals to defend his title, going against Shigematsu in a Blanka mirror match at the final battle to become a four-time EVO champion. On the Tekken 8 scene, Arslan Ash took the victory to secure his eighth championship, tying his record of most championships won at EVO with other legends like Justin Wong and SonicFox. Another highlight of the night included Hikari taking the final victory in 2XKO against the tag team of SonicFox and INZEM.
