It’s been a long time coming, but developer Gameloft just announced the Switch 2 version of Disney Dreamlight Valley is coming next month! On March 25, players will be able to update to the Switch 2 version completely free, and enjoy the many new benefits that come with playing on the enhanced version for Nintendo’s new and more powerful system. Fans have been waiting a while for this news, so we’re more than happy to finally report it.
The Switch 2 version of Disney Dreamlight Valley will come with improved frame rates for smoother gameplay, enhanced resolutions for a sharper image, and faster loading times to get into the action sooner. The item limit will also be raised to 6,000 from 3,000, giving you double the possibilities to decorate and personalize your own Disney realm.

The current version of Disney Dreamlight Valley on Switch is good for its hardware limitations, but it can be difficult to enjoy when it runs so much better on other platforms that give the game more power to work with. The item limit in particular was a sorely needed improvement in the Switch 2 version, as hardcore fans find themselves hitting that limit time and time again on the base Switch edition.
Will you be checking out (or perhaps revisiting) Disney Dreamlight Valley when it launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 25? Don’t forget, it’s a free update if you already own the base game!
