Forza Horizon 6 hasn’t even launched yet, but it’s already shaping up to be a major success. Early data shows strong demand building ahead of release, with the game quickly gaining traction. According to estimates from Alinea Analytics, the game has already passed 511,000 pre-sales on Steam, reaching this milestone roughly one month before its official launch on May 19.
If accurate, these early sales have already generated more than $28 million in gross revenue on Steam alone. At the same time, more people keep adding the game to their wishlists, which has now passed 3.3 million. This shows strong interest and suggests it could sell even more when it launches.
Looking ahead, projections suggest an even bigger launch window. Alinea Analytics estimates that Forza Horizon 6 could surpass two million units sold on Steam within its first 24 hours, although this remains a forecast rather than confirmed data.
This momentum has grown steadily in recent weeks, with clear boosts after major announcements like the map reveal, press previews, and the first gameplay showcase on April 8. The biggest spike reportedly came after the achievements list was revealed on April 13, when around 22,000 copies were sold in one day and wishlists increased by about 90,000.
Forza Horizon 6 will release on Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for later in 2026. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will get early access starting May 15, giving them a four-day head start before launch. The game will feature a highly detailed recreation of Japan and launch with over 550 cars, with its version of Tokyo being the largest urban environment ever created for the franchise, approximately five times larger than Forza Horizon 5’s Guanajuato.
