Mobile Bunny Collector Usagi Shima Releasing On PC

In Usagi Shima, your task is to restore an abandoned tropical island into a paradise where a variety of adorable bunnies can come and relax. This cozy game was released on Android and iOS in September 2023. It received positive reviews that praised its relaxed pace, the variety of rabbits available to meet, and the cute interactions that players can have with them once they show up on the island. Now, as announced during the 2026 Wholesome Direct broadcast, this cozy rabbit collector is making its way to PC.

Usagi Shima is the product of solo developer Jess Yu and was inspired by the hit mobile app Neko Atsume as well as the real-life Japanese island of Okunoshima in Hiroshima Prefecture, which is inhabited by feral rabbits. The game was featured in the 2023 Wholesome Direct to announce its mobile release, and has now made its second appearance in the 2026 edition of the annual broadcast with exciting news: Usagi Shima is coming to PC! The game is currently planned to release via Steam in October 2026, although a specific date has not been announced at this time.

Usagi Shima is a low-pressure game in which players purchase and build features to attract a variety of rabbits to their island. As of mid-2026, over 30 rabbits appear in the game, including several special or rare ones. Once rabbits have come to the island, players can interact with them by brushing, feeding, petting, or playing an endless runner minigame. There’s even a hatmaker from whom the players can purchase hats to have their bunnies wear!

The game does feature microtransactions, which are utilized to purchase more island space, so it will be interesting to see how the PC release of Usagi Shima will handle that aspect. More information about the PC release, including an official date, will likely be revealed sometime later this year.
