Want to play as The Champion in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls? The Champion is the secret 21st playable character and the main antagonist of the game, but you need to complete Episode Mode before you can use him.
To unlock The Champion, you must fully complete one story campaign in Episode Mode. Each campaign has 11 chapters and normally takes around 60 to 90 minutes, although you can finish it in under 30 minutes if you skip the story scenes and get through the fights quickly.
You only need to complete all 11 chapters for one of these teams:
- Fighting Avengers
- Unbreakable X-Men
- The Amazing Guardians
- Knights of Doom
- Samurai Outriders
If you want to unlock him as fast as possible, start by changing the cutscene controls to manual in the settings. You can then hold the skip button during the story to skip the dialogue and comic-style panels. The early fights are also quite easy. You can repeatedly use the medium attack button to perform simple autocombos and quickly get through the opponents.
Things become harder near the end. The final boss fights against The Promoter and The Champion have several phases and can deal a lot of damage. If you lose, however, the game lets you lower the difficulty from the continue screen, making it much easier to finish the campaign.
In the Fighting Avengers story, the final three battles are against The Champion. The first is the easiest, as he mainly defends himself until his health drops to around 40%. After that, he becomes much more aggressive. The second battle is considerably harder. The final fight takes things even further because The Champion activates his “awakened” form, which can take you down with only a couple of combos.
Once you finish all 11 chapters, The Champion will be unlocked as a playable character. You can then select him in the game’s other modes, although he cannot be selected in Episode Mode. The Champion plays as a heavy grappler with his own unique gameplay mechanics. His awakened form can also be activated by completely filling his Pride Meter, giving you access to the powerful form used during his boss fight.
