Get Ready To See More Ads In Electronic Arts Games As EA Advertising Is Introduced

Electronic Arts has officially launched EA Advertising, a new platform that allows real-world brands to appear across EA’s biggest titles. The initiative is built around EA’s audience of more than 120 million monthly active players and will focus mainly on sports franchises such as EA SPORTS FC, Madden NFL, and College Football.

EA says the goal is to add advertising in ways that feel natural rather than disruptive. This could include stadium billboards, broadcast-style sponsorships, branded challenges, special rewards, and cosmetic items linked to partner companies.

EA says the ads are meant to enhance the player experience instead of interrupting it.

According to EA’s official announcement, the platform is built around several key features. Advertisers can purchase native ad placements through 3D sports simulations, allowing ads to appear on digital boards, scoreboards, and broadcast-style overlays that mirror real sporting events. Brands can also work directly with EA to create bespoke gameplay integrations, including sponsored challenges, reward-based objectives, and custom cosmetic items tailored to specific games.

The platform is powered by a proprietary ad server and software development kit built specifically for EA’s Frostbite engine. EA says this system provides privacy-safe audience targeting while allowing campaigns to be adjusted and optimized in real time. Another major initiative is the EA SPORTS Partner Program, this program allows select brands to move beyond traditional sponsorships and co-create fan experiences. These partnerships can extend into live events such as the Madden Bowl, Ratings Reveals, and athlete-focused cultural programs.

Several major brands are already involved. Mountain Dew created a custom in-game university experience in EA SPORTS College Football, while Red Bull introduced branded content and rewards in EA SPORTS FC. Other partners include Lowe’s, Visa, Xfinity, and Peacock. In sports games, this kind of advertising fits in naturally. But EA has also worked with fashion brand Coach in The Sims, which shows that branded content is not limited to sports games.
