Fortnite is no stranger to collaborating with music artists of all genres. From Sabrina Carpenter to Metallica to Karol G, there’s really something for everyone. Now though, Epic Games are breaking new ground when it comes to genre representation, with new Icon Skin collaboration EsDeeKid.
Representing the UK’s underground rap scene, EsDeeKid made it big through social media like TikTok and SoundCloud, rising in prominence and gathering a devoted following that gained him both critical and commercial success. With over 15 million monthly listeners on Spotify, EsDeeKid’s arrival to the Fortnite island is sure to make a splash.
As is customary with new Icon collaborations, EsDeeKid comes with a full kit of cosmetics, from his Skin with various styles and reactive effect options, to a Grimhaul Bag Backbling, Cerberus Sidekick (with a reactive style) and even the Scouse Stepper Emote. For those looking to represent him further, three Jam Tracks will be available to buy too: 4 Raws, Rottweiler and Century.
The Fortnite collaboration with EsDeeKid is timed perfectly, following his performance at hip-hop festival Rolling Loud in Orlando just last week. The Fortnite x EsDeeKid collaboration is set to release later today at time of writing, that’s May 15, in the shop refresh at 12AM UTC. The bundle pricing is 3,400 V-Bucks for all items, or players can spend 2,000 V-Bucks for the EsDeeKid skin as a standalone purchase.
It’s a great month for Fortnite collaborations and crossovers.
