Besides bringing its release to Switch 2 this week, Final Fantasy XIV is bringing the Yo-kai Watch collaboration event, titled “Gather One, Gather All.” The event brings back many previous minions and weapons, as well as new furniture. It will be available from August 4 until October 5. You will need to be level 15 with any job and have completed one of these main scenario quests: The Gridanian Envoy, The Lominsan Envoy, or The Ul’dahn Envoy.
The quest for this event is very straightforward, as it is an introduction to the other elements the event brings. To begin the quest, head to Ul’dah, Steps of Nald, at coordinates X:9.2 Y:9.1. There, you will find the Poor-heeled Youth, who will offer you the quest “A Complete Game Changer.” The Youth will tell you about the Wandering Executive who has arrived at the Gold Saucer, and that you should visit him as well.
The Poor-heeled Youth will get this journey started.
Travel to the Main Square of the Gold Saucer, where you will find the Wandering Executive, a male Au Ra in a tuxedo. The Executive will ask for your help in finding his friend. He will order you to investigate at the Central Shroud. Travel to the Shroud to Bentbranch Meadows; there you will find three marked NPCs. Talk to the NPCs, and your next location will be revealed, which is in the Everschade, just a bit West of the NPCs, at coordinates X:15.1 Y:25.1.
In the Everschade, you will find an Ancient Stone Vessel; open it to find who you are looking for, Whisper, from the Yo-kai Watch series. Head back to the Wandering Executive at the Gold Saucer to complete the quest. The Executive will reward you with the items you need for the event: The Yo-kai Watch, a Yo-kai Medal, and the Yo-kai Medallium. His inventory will unlock, but before you can trade, you will need more medals to trade.
To earn Yo-kai Medals, you will need to complete FATES with the Yo-kai Watch equipped on your wrist in the following locations:
- A Real Reborn: La Noscea, the Black Shroud, Thanalan.
- Heavensward: All Regions.
- Stormblood: All Regions.
With these Yo-kai Medals, you can acquire more Minions from the Executive. However, Minions are more than cosmetics in this event. To acquire the Legendary Yo-kai Medals, you will also need to have a Yo-kai Minion equipped. Each Minion will acquire Legendary Medals for a specific weapon in the Executive’s inventory. The Yo-kai Medallium in your collection will tell you the specific locations where each of these Minions will reward the Legendary Medals from FATES.
Unlocking all the Minions will reward you with the Whisper-go mount, as well as access to the furniture items and the Yo-kai Framer’s Kit from the Wandering Executive. For more Final Fantasy XIV content, stay tuned to GameObserver.
