Samson Developers Reveal Roadmap And Confirm Console Release Window

After a difficult launch on PC, Samson is now moving forward with a clearer plan, and there is finally good news for console players. Developer Liquid Swords has officially confirmed that its action-adventure brawler, Samson, is set to release on consoles in Fall 2026. The game, which follows a man returning to Tyndalston to save his sister, is currently available only on PC after launching earlier this month.

The console version is likely planned for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, although no exact date has been shared yet. In a recent post on the official Steam page, the studio stated: “We know many of you have been asking about a console release. While we’re not ready to share a specific date yet, we can confirm that Samson is planned to launch on consoles this fall.”

Samson was released on April 8, exclusively on PC.

Last month, Studio founder Christofer Sundberg confirmed that the game is already running on consoles, but the team is focusing first on improving the PC version before finalizing those builds. This decision comes after a difficult launch, where the game launched with mixed ratings on Steam due to significant technical issues, performance stutters, and bugs.

To address these problems, the developers has shared a detailed roadmap with several updates planned in the coming weeks. The first patches will arrive on April 22 and April 29, focusing on adding new car variants, improving the combat system, and introducing changes based on player feedback. Beyond these patches, the roadmap also includes two larger content updates. The first, planned for mid-May, will focus on combat-related content, while the second, expected in mid-June, will focus on vehicles and driving systems.

Together, these changes show a clear effort to improve the game after a rough start and prepare it for a wider audience, but whether they will succeed remains to be seen. For more Samson related coverage, keep checking GameObserver.
