THYSIASTERY is an upcoming dungeon-crawler RPG made by DIRGA Games. You explore the depths of a Labyrinth with a group of Brand bearers. With roguelike elements and turn-based combat, you must adapt to a variety of enemies that threaten to end your expedition early. Play from a first-person perspective, pay attention to your surroundings, and explore every inch of each area. Explore a variety of environments that range from forests to underwater cities as you journey deeper into the Labyrinth. All environments are designed with a retro-art style with limited color palettes to reflect the depths of the Labyrinth you explore.
Permadeath, random characters, and procedurally generated areas make each Labyrinth exploration unique while keeping you on your toes. You are the only fighter at the start, recruiting other characters you meet along the way. Helpful NPCs can also assist your party, but you never know if the event will help or hinder your progress in the long run. Your characters can learn a variety of skills that you can experiment with, then pass those skills to other team members. This lets you focus on specific attack styles or diversify your skillset to handle a wider range of threats.

Combat gives you opportunities to exploit enemy weaknesses, but you must be careful, as they can do the same with you. Make the wrong move and someone in your party might not survive the journey. The same is true for events you encounter, as not every being you meet has your best interests in mind. Some events seem harmless, but have dangerous consequences if not addressed properly. If the game is too difficult or too easy, you can use modifiers to find the challenge that’s perfect for you.
THYSIASTERY will be available on Steam on March 9 and you can wishlist the game today. For more indie game news be sure to stay tuned to GameObserver!
