Action RPG Stupid Never Dies Will Launch This Year

3D action RPG Stupid Never Dies caught gamers’ attention from the moment it was announced. Slick and stylish, this offbeat title is the brainchild of GPTRACK50, a studio founded by former Dragon’s Dogma and Resident Evil developer Hiroyuki Kobayashi. Now, there’s something even bigger to get excited about: Stupid Never Dies is launching this year.

Kobayashi announced on July 29, 2026, that Stupid Never Dies would launch on October 21 2026, worldwide and October 22, 2026 in Japan. The game will be released for PlayStation 5 as well as PC via Steam. The studio head also confirmed that GPTRACK50 is partnering with SEGA to publish Stupid Never Dies. “Working with a publisher as experienced as SEGA has been invaluable,” said Kobayashi in an official press release. “Together, our team remains committed to delivering a game that we believe players around the world will enjoy.”

Stupid Never Dies tells the story of Davy, an awkward, introverted, low-ranking zombie, who wants to resurrect a frozen human girl named Julia. Players will need to guide Davy through his journey by upgrading his body in a variety of hilarious (and effective!) ways and chomping enemies such as vampires, werewolves, and ghosts to take their abilities. The game encourages player innovation as they can customize Davy’s physical form and combat skills to best suit their play style.

Those looking to purchase Stupid Never Dies can choose between the Standard Edition, which costs $49.99, and the Glorious Idiot Edition, which costs $69.99 and features a downloadable content pack called TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack. The pack includes five “TickTock Teddies,” which include a mix of sound and physical effects, background music, and track remixes.
